With the slogan of Experience the Magic of Cinema, The Donald M. Ephraim Palm Beach Film Festival© Presented by MorseLife is offering dozens of unique features, documentaries, and short films from 20 different countries, including seven from Israel or will have a definite appeal to Jewish audiences.

Sure to cause a lot of conversation is CINEMA SABAYA, an award-winning 2022 feature from Israel about a group of Arab and Jewish women who, after attending a workshop run by a young filmmaker from Tel Aviv, challenge their preconceived views and beliefs while coming together as mothers, wives, and women. (February 7, 13)

Five Jewish-themed films are having their Palm Beach Premiere at the Festival:

FAREWELL, MR. HAFFMAN, the tense tale of a Jewish jeweler trying to survive in Nazi-occupied Paris. (February 5, 6, 15)

HAUTE COUTURE from France, about an aging head seamstress at Dior who befriends a young woman who steals her purse and helps her to find a career in fashion. (February 2, 7, 14)

iMORDECAI, starring Oscar nominees Judd Hirsch and Carol Kane as survivors from Poland living in Miami. (February 9, 13)

KARAOKE, an offbeat comedy-drama from Israel about a long-married couple introduced to karaoke nights by their neighbor; starring Sasson Gabay of The Band’s Visit. (February 5, 6, 11)

THE FORGER from Germany and Luxembourg, about Cioma Schönhaus, a Jewish man living in 1942 Berlin who won’t let anyone take away his zest for life, especially not the Nazis. (February 8, 13)

Enjoying its Florida Premiere at the Festival is the award-winning documentary THE WILD ONE narrated by Willem Defoe, about enigmatic artist Jack Garfein, who arrived in New York at the age of 16 and came until the wing of Lee Strasberg, Hollywood, and his marriage to actress Carroll Baker. (February 6, 15)

The various Jewish-themed movies will be shown at the new Donald M. Ephraim Palm Beach Film Festival will be shown at CMX Downtown in Palm Beach Gardens, CMX Wellington, IPIC Delray Beach, Paragon Theatres in Delray Beach, and the Regal in Royal Palm Beach.
